Wetheringsett C of E Primary School

It is the smallest of all seeds but when it grows up it is the biggest of all plants. It becomes a tree, so that birds come and make their nests.' Matthew 13:32

Lunch Menu

Our meals are all freshly prepared daily at Wetheringsett Manor, another school in the village. Parents help their children select their menu choice from a list sent home before the beginning of each week. As well as a main choice and vegetarian alternative. Children who do not have school lunches may bring a packed lunch from home.

All children in Reception, year 1 and 2 are able to have a free school meal each day.

Other children are able to get free school meals if parents receive any of the following benefits:

  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400.
  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit

  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

  • Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of no more than £16,190

Call on 01473 260989 (Ipswich/Lowestoft and surrounding area) or 01284 758883 (Bury St Edmunds and surrounding area) or click here for more information.

All other children can purchase a meal on a day to day basis. As meals are cooked off site all meals need to be ordered in advance. These currently cost £2.40 a day. We ask that meals are paid for in advance, using the School Gateway payment system.
